More Comedy for the Cold Winter Nights

Earlier the mention was made that the precursors of Monty Python and Hugh Laure/David Frye must surely have been Peter Cook and Dudley Moore. Time now to view a bit of their material as performed in London and also on Broadway (in Beyond The Fringe---which also featured Alan Bates and Jonathan Miller). Speaking of Jonathan Miller---please check the last video in this sequence---and a brief update on him:

Admittedly, British humour is an acquired taste which I have not only acquired, but, relish. Plays on words, subtlety, and hitting many situations that we have all witnessed.

This brings us to Jonathan Miller. Another entity in Beyond The Fringe who went on to produce/direct opera, theater, and all the while holding a medical degree. It is quite possible that Leonardo Da Vinci might have been a long distant relative given his unique talents---though, I know not if he knows of engineering. What follows is an interview on The Dick Cavett Show (when late night TV had substance and not hype)with Jonathan---Dr. Jonathan Miller.

Most of the items on this site will be devoted to comedy---any suggestions are welcome---and a pie in the face if I don't care for them. Another tale on another day of some former friends who stalked out of a British film (a classic of comedy w/ Peter Sellers) decrying Brit humour ---spelled the Brit way---and that is why they are former.
